Tang stamps hide more than they reveal.

I think so Shearer. The jigging looks authentic, as does the pattern, placement of the pins ect. The stamp is more clear than I normally see. Maybe even a little thinner, but that might be indicative of having seen less use than the Hatch's I have seen. One feature which does worry me is how proud the shield is, almost like it was glued on. But, that could be an artifact of the picture taking. My two cents is that this is an authentic Hatch. I think it's correct.
Here is one I had at one time. The shield set proud on it also.

Thats a pretty one edgy. I really like the patina. That is a GREAT looking old knife!

Went for $445 with 25 bids, so somebody thinks it's real, anyway.

I didn't see anything obviously wrong with it, but I don't know much about this brand. It's pretty rare.
