Ran across this little fixed blade knife stamped PALMAR.L.A. JAPAN on the tang. It is 6 1/4" overall with 3 1/4" blade length. Scales are bone. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm not familiar with the manufacturer and am interested in age and background.

Re: unable to identify
Could the name possibly be PALMAX? I've seen that name before. The knife was likely made in the 1950's or 60's and came with a small sheath. Some of them had a compass inset into one scale.Value is minimal.
