I got bombed twice last week, both on the same day!

Paladin send me a TL-29 with the XCELITE tang stamp.

313Mike sent me a beefy old liner lock knife with a Wharncliffe(ish) blade, probably a modified hawkbill.
I can't make out the name but I can see JAPAN on the tang stamp.
What is so unique to me about this knife is that this is only the second example of a Japanese folder with a carbon steel blade!

I will get pics tomorrow & post them.

sent some BOMBS out & complained about the KERSHAW BLUR they lost from truck to my door still says out for delivery..been over a week ..........

anywho.....mail man shows up and i got a box weighing a TON.........
open her up and it was a box FULL of knife BOMBAGE AN SHRAPNEL

ALL KINDS OF NIB GOODIES ,COOL CAP LIFTER ,old HOLLY(ma last name is HOLLEY) sugar bag WOOOT , A USA LIPIC!!!!!!! I COLLECT THESE AS "TATER TIP" KNOWS...THANX BRO!!!!

Here on the west coast, Central Cal bombed So Cal again today.

Josh ( junebug ) sir-prized me with three items.........

The first is this gold flake Imperial Jack.






Next is this interesting Victorinox knife and watch tool advertising Bulova "It's America's Time". Note the stubby blade on the left side. It's a tool for removing the case-back on a watch for servicing or battery change. The Caravelle was made by Bulova.





And last but not least an antler handled cork screw, which I used to celebrate the new additions to my knife collection.

Wow, weird story. Honest to goodness this story is true.

Earlier today I was preparing a roast, carrots, onions, potatoes, ya know to go in the slow cooker. My favorite kitchen knife has gotten dull over the years and the sharpening steel does ok but the knife really needs a fresh edge. So once again I drag out the Lansky system hoping that this time the clamp will hold that big old blade long enough to sharpen it. UH UH not gonna happen, two strokes with the stone and bam on the floor it goes. I was actually having thoughts about the clamp that Josh showed on another thread and wondered where to get one and if it would work So, I gave up and used another knife to complete the roast mission .

Then a few minutes ago I went to the mail box and KABOOOOM.

My west coast brother Josh aka Junebug had launched a long range missile. I had absolutely no idea that it was on the way. Well what do you know, Josh sent me that clamp that WILL fit the large blade, with a deeper stop, along with the guides and it will work with my Lansky stones He also sent me a really cool little Camillus jack and a really cool para cord bracelet

Josh you really got me good. Thank you brother.
My granddads old knife thanks you as well
Time to get busy sharpening!
