Ka-Bar Rigging Knife found but not bought

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Ka-Bar Rigging Knife found but not bought

Post by Bloodhound »

I was crusing an antique store last week and found a KA-BAR Rigging knife...the price tag said $30....when the clerk got it out of the case, I could see the blade had knicks in it and it was tweaked at the tip and the rope tool was bent and re-bent.....It was sad to see the old girl this beat up...and I was sad to have found one but then go home with out it.......

I have a friend selling a few kabar pocket knives, I'm not sure what ones he has. If I find a rigging kabar I will email you.

I would be interested if he has one.

I was happy to pass...and save the $$ for when I find a nice one
