All steel GEC's?

Post by Blademan13 »

Is there a sure fire way to identify which Tidioute's are all steel? Few sites list this feature and it appears hit or miss with GEC themselves. Case in point is the #15 Boy's knife or the upcoming #68 Pony Jack, information is not clear on this. I just wish GEC and retailers would be more specific on listing liner/bolster material. I am very fond of the all steel knives for my users, they just seem to age very well. Anyone else a fan?

There really hasn't been much done with all steel.........#36 Pattern in 2010. #25 Barlow Pattern and #73 Scout in 2011, and the recent Boys knife 2012/13 and first run of the #92'sand #45's in 2012

Monk, thank you for the welcome and the tip. Exactly what I was looking for.

Gino, have a #15 single blade clip point inbound. Love the barehead version.

Boggs, you are right. My first experience with the all steel GEC's were the JBF Champlin models. Absolutely love them and have carried either one or the other as EDC since receiving them. Really like how the blade, bolsters and liners all take a patina differently.
