camillus #72

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Thanks to you Tommy, I don't have to worry about that one anymore. Image

It will be interesting to see what it goes for. There are four stockmans with those handles and that shield up on eBay right now. Including the 72, they're all by the same seller.

Jerry nice knives.I missed out on the John Deere McGrew it came up about 3am my time.
Carrmillus I have 36 with clones ,The wife said that's to many.

Received this 72 clone Friday.It a Schrade NY USA 863.
I have collected three different tang stamps.
Schrade Walden , Schrade N.Y. and Schrade USA.
There is a fourth variation a Schrade Walden with a different shield.

Not yet. The only problem is there a Dysfunctional Veteran in the middle of the road and will not let me pass.
Jerry I don't think that Camillus exported 72 to Australia.So have have to buy form America.

Nice gentlemen (see how you can fool people on the other side of the world :lol: ) is happy to help out a knife mate.

Today's mail had this upgrade for my Imperial Scout (72 clone). I think the tang stamp is 1936-1952. It's in very good condition. I'm grateful to Ray (Paladin) for this one.

Thanks Jerry and Carrmillus.
It was the one on Ebay a couple of weeks back and the seller was a pleasure to do business with.
I have a 72 scout ( 1047 )I am going to try to re-handle.The biggest trouble is finding the brass rod the right size.I purchased some 2 mm and when I got home it was 1.8mm so it looks like I will have to take some verniers to measure them.
