What to do with bad knives ?

When I began collecting I made some bad decisions and got burned on a handful of Ebay knives. Why I didn't send them back I don't know but now I'm stuck with them. I don't want to pass them along ... bad karma, and I don't want to keep them to remind me of my stupidity. Out of curiosity, what have others done in my situation ?

Every now and then we have a POS roundtable on AAPK. It's kind of like drawing names at Christmas only we send each other our crap. I've had several occasions where the "junk" I've received has been something I liked and added to my accumulation.

I have some junk that I keep in a cigar box in the TV cabinet. Occasionally I have given some of it away to grand-kids or someone that just wanted something they could beat like a rented mule.

Approximately 1% of my accumulation of knives are either outright counterfeits or frankenknives. I like to keep them to show to novice collectors for educational purposes.
No way will I ever sell or trade them.

This is a Case Tested era canoe with bonfire bone scales and genuine brass ribbon accents. The center bone is Parker red. Bolsters, blades and one pin are 390 SS. Tang stamp is nearly correct. Bidding starts at .99 and doesn't reflect on the quality of this knife.

The best thing you can do is use a electric pencil and mark "FAKE'' deeply on all blades, before selling it, to keep it from getting back in the market again and someone else getting stung. It would make a good everyday carry.
