GEC uses one like that, but it's not arched.......called a 'hotdog' shield.

I'd call it a modified "BAR" shield, or it might fit into the "GIMP" class. That's a beauty of a knife Mr. B

I own a R6073 that appears to be identical to this knife. Stewart and Ritchie show one in their book on page 165 that has a shield slightly different from the one on my knife (and yours). I've seen several others with the bar type shield but I can't really recall having seen one with the crown shield shown in Ritchie and Stewart, might just be a case of selective memory.

My book gives a value of $400. Of course, that is for a mint specimen (including the etch). I really doubt that you could get that in today's market, however, congress knives are popular.
