Peanut740,
I was almost afraid that the knife wouldn't be right somehow, but everything about it says "authentic" to me. The file work is old & beautiful. I am one happy knifegirl!

I ran across a Case on the bay in the same pattern. Springville NY was from 1912-1915. Kane Cutlery was from the same time period, 1910-1916. I thought it was interesting...knifegirl888 wrote:Bret & I picked this one up from our good friend Jack at a gun show. He knows that I look for old PA knives & when he finds one, he usually gives me a chance at it.![]()
Both blades are marked Kane Cutlery Co, Kane PA, even if hard to read. Too me, it certainly looks like an old Case knife. Bret and I were debating what this pattern would be named? Perhaps an early version of a copperhead?
