Bonehead, on the tang it reads "GREAT EASTERN CUTLERY TITUSVILLE, PA" on the reverse side it reads "GEC 01 715112". Not sure why they didn't put "REDNECK" on the tang on the black one.bonehead wrote:Jspurlock93 wrote:Got these two "rednecks" in today. Thanks Monk!
Jspurlock93,
Both Nice! I am familiar with the first one with the tang stamping as " Red Neck" but what does the tang say on the Black one? I did notice the birds Eye rivet with Red Neck......?

Jspurlock93,
I'm sure you are aware that there was a patent issue when the knife first came out in the orange material when calling it a RedNeck. Since that time GEC changed the name to "Farm and Field Tool" I suppose they just used up the remaining pieces from the original knife. That makes that one a conversation piece... pretty cool at that for sure

That #33 is a slick little devil. It's about the only knife smaller than 3.5" closed I would buy more of.

Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.
I have three "cute" knives (under 3") I ended up with by mistake (read that not paying attention to what I was doing
). I was just thinking this morning that they sure are cute and the price is usually nominal, maybe I should start a collection of sub-three inch knives
Note: Just measured one of my Miracle Whip Anniversary knives (2-7/8") so counting some others I just thought of, I have quite a few more than three sub-three inchers. By golly, this could be the start of something.
