.....that knife with arrow shield and AAPK blade etch would be the perfect 2013 Club Knife. 75wharn / 50spear. Who would buy the set?........ME, LOLOLOLO (I know Bryan doesn't need comments from the peanut gallery, but WOW what a knife it would be!!) .....and the price point should be right compared to the last couple AAPK knives.

I like my ebony black, no light streaks.

Yes the Macassar has a reputation for light streaks, but some is totally black, like the Boys knife on the left in this photo. The Barlow on the right is Gabon Ebony, which can also have light streaks, though mine does not.

btw, it is open to question whether either of those Ebonies are stabilized, my bet is they are not. The Boys Knife scales soaked up a lot of mineral oil and got noticeably darker afterward. But when I asked GEC if their Macassar is stabilized, they gave a generic answer "all our wood is stabilized".

For those who have not yet delved into the meaning of stabilized, it means soaked in Acrylic, plastic. GEC also said all their Bone is stabilized, in house.

Knives that feature a thru-tang long pull always appeal to me. Very happy to see GEC using this style of pull.....hope we get to see it on more knives in the future.
Will definitely be grabbing one or two of these.
