At least you have a list!! I must get organized!! As it is, I find mine by chance sometimes, only then remembering I had one!orvet wrote:Nice one Bill.![]()

I make lots of lists........I just forget where I put them.
Which is super scary when you know that they are all on my computer.
My list tells me I have 52 Barlows, (many far from mint), which means if I tried to find all of them, I might only find 48, due to trading some off, or I might find 65, due to being lazy and not entering them when I get them.
Such is the life of the modern, computerized, Good Ol' Boy.
You realize that just collecting pocket knives, makes us Good Ol' Boys?

Nice Barlows guys!
ea42-
No problem with showing a fine Barlow again!
That DE is a nice one. I like the 80TH Anniversary Daddy Barlow as well as the Stuyvesant Daddy Barlow. Those are real sweethearts!
Does your GDOT have a serial number? They cane some with & some without. I real beauty! I some times EDC the one I have without the serial number. It is a great EDC & a real eye popper when you pull it out of your pocket.
Rusty-
I like that Mac Daddy Barlow. Great etch on the bolster.
Keep them coming guys!

Thanks Dale! The GDOT is serialized, #10440. I've actually been seriously EDC'ing the DE. Very useful on the job and the clipped bolsters and plastic handles don't make me feel bad if abuse them. It's a good knife, and once I reground the edge it cuts like gangbusters!
Sunburst- Weak attempt?!?
I wish I could put out a "weak" spread like that! VERY nice everyone!

I will trade you one of your "weak" (so called) Scagels for a nice scrimshaw Schrade.sunburst wrote:Well I finally worked up the courage to show my weak attempt at showing a Barlow or two...![]()

Those Scagels are nice.
A Barlow is, IMHO, one of the most useful all around patterns. Even some of the less expensive old ones are great tools! They cut better than a lot of the new knives on the market today.ea42 wrote: I've actually been seriously EDC'ing the DE. There are so many of those still on the market, there has to be something "right" about them.
I still find (& buy) them in hardware stores occasionally. They seem to epitomize the Barlow concept; i.e., the quintessential working man's knife. Inexpensive, durable & sharp. I think the last one I paid full retail for was $6.99. It was a #278 & the 2004 MSRP was $6.95, (I was gouged 4¢).

Here are a couple more. I don't think anyone had posted them yet.
One is a Boker Arbolito, made in Argentina.
The other is a Craftsman Barlow. I believe it was made by Schrade.
Paul M- I wish I could take pics like that. Nice knife & excellent picture!
Let's keep the pics coming guys, this is awesome
