Dwight Divine & Sons U.S.A. Knife

Hello i am a new member and i could use some help. I would like to find all the information i can get on this knife i bought at a flea market. The knife has Dwight Divine & Sons U.S.A. stamp and on the blade Charles Swartz engraved. Any information on this knife would be greatly apprecitated.

This tang stamp was used from slightly after 1900 until possibly as late as 1941, when the Ellenville, N.Y. factory was sold to Albert & Henry Baer, according to Goins' Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings, 1998 edition. A more famous trademark of this company was ULSTER.

For what little it is worth, many times when a name is engraved or etched on a blade like that, it is the name of the owner.

The blade looks like it was replaced, note how the tang hangs down below the bolster.

That tang stamp is not rare by any means.
