need info on my newest case

Ijust picked this one up off the 'bay, and I'm quite excited about it, although, Ihave some questions concerning the etch and to the knife club to which it represents. The seller described this as a "commemorative" issued by case in 1981, and alludes to the fact that case did the etching. But, if you enlarge the picture, you can see the letters "SL", one on top of the other, at the tip of the blade. I believe that I have seen this stamp before, and I'm pretty sure that it is a logo for "shaw-liebowitz". Can anybody confirm or deny that this is correct? Also, the letters "cvkc", I'm sure, stand for a knife club. Am I correct in assuming that this would be "central valley knife club?. If so, what state do they come from? This is a spectacular knife in awesome condition, and I got it for a very good price. Iwould really like to learn more about it, and any help or comments would be appreciated, thanks, Tim

I believe you're correct about the "SL" on your knife as they did similar engravings for Case around that time. Google would be more help than I can offer about the knife club though.
