Thanks Jerry. I can't take a good pic.jerryd6818 wrote:Phil -- This is Miller Bros. thread. His idea and he started it. I just contribute when I can. I hope you don't mind, your picture was a little out of focus so I grabbed a picture of the shield from another place (GEC web site), flipped it and cropped it down. Neat shield, eh?
I was referring to the state shields you posted.

Don't think that this one's been shown yet, especially on a BOKER U.S.A.

Re: GOT SHIELDS?
Neat, huh. I like them. I'm not enthusiastic about the GEC Whalers but if I could afford it, I'd buy them just for the shields.

A variation of the Boker 140th Anniversary (2009) shield. OH

Re: GOT SHIELDS?
Yeah, well. A year or two ago, I called GEC in an attempt to buy a shield I liked a lot, just the shield, (Probably beaver or guitar. Sorry, can't remember which one right now. CRAFT disease ya know.). I was told very quickly in no uncertain terms, "No way Jose".Miller Bro`s wrote:I don`t want the whole knife, just the shieldsjerryd6818 wrote: I'm not enthusiastic about the GEC Whalers but if I could afford it, I'd buy them just for the shields.I would put some on my vintage EDC knives

Guys,
Trivial I know, But the those shields were used on the Lumberjack, and Roughneck. They did use these on the Whaler offerings. BH

They probably thought you would re-sell it on a custom made knife or somethingjerryd6818 wrote:Yeah, well. A year or two ago, I called GEC in an attempt to buy a shield I liked a lot, just the shield, I was told very quickly in no uncertain terms, "No way Jose".

I bet if you called them and told them the shield fell off your knife and was lost they would send one right out for free

Re: GOT SHIELDS?
I wasn't up for scrolling through 21 pages to see if a First Class Boy Scout shield had been posted yet. If it has, my apologies and here's a second from a rather worn, early Camillus 1047.
