Gdogg the season started today here in Ky. I went this morning but had no success. Here it's against the law to call turkeys before the season opens. You can scout for them but you aren't supposed to use any kind of call to attract them until the season opens.

Do you know who made the Craftsman knife ?

Dogg, nice job cleaning up your old Craftsman; coincidently, I recently saw one of those NIB in a collectibles store - IIRC they wanted $79 or $99 for it - it is still there! My bird's picture is posted in the outdoor and first cup threads down below - it weighed 15 lbs, had a thick 10" beard, right spur 1-1/8", left spur 1", and was coming in to my decoys - shot at 20 yards. I scouted a powerline last Monday and spotted him then; yesterday I was set up on the powerline and I heard him gobbling from a tree at 0610, he was on the ground by 0635, and killed at 0658. That is as fast as I have ever taken one - all the dumb turkeys got shot yesterday - for the rest of the season we will be dealing with the smart ones! OH

I just picked this up. It was made by Jim Lippencott. Cocabola handles. The blade is 2 3/4" long. Matchstrike pull. Handles are fastened with screws. Liners are milled(by hand). This one isn't quite as fancy as most of them he makes. He made it for every day carry. COOL. I really doubt if I'll cut any thing at work with it, but As I heard someone else say "life is too short to carry a ugly knife". I'll have to start carrying two knives now. ::groove::

That is truly a trout fishers dream, GD56! I caught a native in the Davidson River a few years back. It did not make 6 inches. Great catch! Oh. Carrying the Texas jack today.

Nothing on me just now. But when I suit up in a bit I'm thinking about putting the Beaver Creek Stockman I got yesterday in my pocket. Seems to have pretty good heat treat and has pretty Marble Acrylic (I think)

I will try and get a pic of it up!
