Thanks Charlie & Cato.
Charlie: I wondered the exact same thing when I first saw the knife. How did it survive the test of time?

Nice one greedy, I really like the scissors, they look to be good clippers. A beautiful knife in great shape.
This one is not in as good shape. Here is an early made "VOOS MADE IN U.S.A" from Connecticut. I guess early based on pattern and patina as well as the stamp which looks quite rough compared with other Voos'.

Glad that this thread has been revived. Can't remember what or when I might have posted any vintage pearl. Sorry if I might be doing a repeat.

Unusual to find the cigar cutters in all pearl. Most all Voos knives you find are of the 2-blade bone handle barehead varietyBeechtree wrote: Here is an early made "VOOS MADE IN U.S.A" from Connecticut. Very cool Boker.
Hear are some small Rooster's I have in some of the finniest pearl with etch I have seen.
The one "knife pic" is marked silver the other is marked but cant make it out, it may be silver also. The small tobacco leaf knives where mad 100 in each handle style and that is 2 of the 5 different styles they did.So they are 1 of 100 made in the 80s maybe early 90s.I would love to find the other 3 I have saw thier pics and 1 is done in gold dip, like the one I have, with different etch the other in pearl no etch and the etch in black.

Re: Vintage Mother Of Pearl (MOP) Knives
Well, I wasn't going to post this knife because I was so upset with what happened to it but here goes.
I went to the flea market last weekend and saw this knife on a table and it was rusted shut but the pearl handles were perfect. I knew right away it was a press button and asked how much it was and when the "kinda rude" seller said "give me a buck" I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.
I put it in my pocket and went on my way. When I got home I pulled my keys from my pocket and the knife fell on my driveway and broke a chunk of pearl off the end.
Turns out its a rare, very old, early (pat #s on back of main blade) Press button women's switchblade with file blade. After soaking it in some min-oil, it fires and is perfect except where I dropped and broke it.
I was sick about it most of the day.
