Re: camillus #72
Great find, Grant. And in such pristine condition. Wow!!
There are so many variations of these knives, a guy could spend his entire life just collecting 72s and their clones.
Same color handles as this Ulster 63.

Jerry I like your Ulster, mind is well used and lost a lot of the bright color . The Craftsman has a couple of faded spots on the handle where it was in a and display case.I think the 72's and clones is a never ending story.Ever time you look you find something different.

Excellent Grant. Just bloody excellent. The knives you find on eBay just amazes me. I never did find an Ole Smoky, Tommy gifted mine to me (Thanks Tommy). In fact, if it wasn't for Tommy, I wouldn't have a 72Y bubble shield or Camillus #5 either. (Another huge thank you Tommy)

Not only have I lost knives to my wife but my friends have also!
Charlie (upnorth) came to my table at the OKCA show a few years ago with a couple knives for me to repair. One was a new Schatt & Morgan with fancy bolsters, but the red bone had faded on one side. Charlie wanted me to change the handles.
My wife says, "You are not going to take that beautiful bone off that knife!" More of an emphatic statement than a question. Charlie said, "Well, the bone is faded and doesn't look good."
She exclaimed, "That is beautiful, I will buy it! How much?"
Charlie named a low price, generously low for that knife. She turns to me and says, "Pay him."
So I did. I went to Charlie's table later and talked to him. I told him I knew the price he gave it to her was below his cost.
I thanked him and gave him another $20 and I think we still paid less that his cost.
Charlie is a really nice guy, a "gentleman" in the best sense of the word.
The moral is: If your wife likes one of your knives (or your friend's knife) it can cost you a knife (or $$)!

Received a Powr-Kraft ( same as the Camillus80 ) and Craftsman 9494 knife . The Powr-Kraft is in very good order. The Craftsman is a bid sad only has good snap on one blade.

Re: camillus #72
Grant -- You said the Powr-Kraft is the same as a Camillus 80. Does that mean it has the milled liners?
Received this Camillus made Remington today. I think it's from somewhere close to the end of days for Camillus. The main, flat ground on both sides, is a give away. I thought (hoped) the handles might be that black bone Camillus used on a few SFOs and some of the Collectors Editions in the '90s but alas, it's just black Delrin. Factory condition though so that made me happy.

Yeah, I have one of each in the 72 frame, a Powr-Kraft and a Camillus. I also have a couple in the #69 Deluxe frame with the milled liners. I like that treatment a lot.
Edit: Grant, you know of course, the Deluxe patterns were only made for a few years. There's not a lot of them floating around. I wouldn't say rare, but certainly scarce.

I'm stealing Grant's idea of sorting the 72s & clones, then taking pictures of each individual group. Smart idea Grant. My pictures are not as good as yours but they'll do.

Oops! I should have said, I have one of each in the 80 frame (same as a 72 except for the milled liners).
