CAMP KNIFE

IGAF MO
I REALLY ADMIT, IM STUMPED BY YOUE REFERENCE TO CAMP KNIFE, DO YOU HAVE A PICTURE OR BRAND OR TANG MARK THAT YOU CAN POST.
WHO KNOWS THERE MIGHT BE ONE IN MY TOOL BOX. DO YOU MEAN A BIG FIXED BLADE FOR CHORES OR A FORK SPOON FOR THE USUAL.

CAMP KNIFE

Post by Mossdancer »

HI AGAIN:
ALTHOUGH CAMP KNIFE WOULD PROBABLY BE A BETTER NAME IT IS ALREADY TAKEN BY A LARGE STOUT FIXED BLADE FOR USE AROUND THE CAMP
THE KNIFE YOU REFER TO IS A CALLED A UTILITY. THEY WERE MADE FOR GENERAL PURPOSE. ALL OF THE SCOUTS HAD ONE, MORE THAN LIKELY A SWISS ARMY KNIFE WOULD FIT YOUR NEED. THEY WERE AND ARE MADE BY MANY TOP NOTCH COMPANIES. AT YARD ,GARAGE.TAG,BOOT SALES WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLED IN YOUR AREA YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET A TOE IN THE DOOR, IF NOT TRY AN ANTIQUE MALL. KEEP LOOKING THEY ARE THERE. YOU CAN LITERALLY PAY FROM 10 CENTS TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS FOR THE TOP EXPOSITION MULTIBLADE.
GOODLUCK, GOOD HUNTING AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

IGAF MO,

As MOSSDANCER mentioned, many lucky Scouts had one of the knives in question. So, it stands to reason they are also known as "Scout's Knives"...even though a few models did, but most didn't really have an agreement with the Scouts.

I didn't see any of our AAPK stores specializing in the pattern, so here are a couple pricey...but very nice ones.....

Apologies in advance if I missed them on someone's store.

I know that Queen made some very nice ones not too long ago. Bill Horn at cumberland knife works had some at one time. You might want to check his site or contact him to see if he still has some.

As MOSSDANCER mentioned, he listed some nice old ones at the knife-auction site too. Here is a link to those...

Hi Igaf Mo:
I was just cruising, ran across a nice one. You know how it goes I dont remember the site. However it was a Boker Scout/Camp Knife. It might be worth looking up.
