I have a case xx jaguar 6151 with a redbone handle,My question is where can i find any info on this? only luck i'm having is a site called worthpoint and they want a "FEE" What i'm actually looking for is when it was made and what would it be worth today?

Hi and welcome to AAPK.

Here's a link to the Case College website page that shows various Case tang stamps. With this you'll hopefully be able to figure out a date for when your knife was made or at least a date range.

I'm not familiar with the term "jaguar" as far as it might relate to a Case knife. I've seen the 6151 pattern referred to as a "bananna trapper" but not a "jaguar".

Lots of good info on the post as far as years made, etc. Set of 7 from 1996' to 2000'. Look at the catalog page I posted. Some knives in the set were only 500 made, some 1500 made. Mine all have serial number 206. Bought from the factory direct over a four year release period.
My guess is the the first 500 of each knife was serialized for the set. Does your knife have a serial number? The red bone Jaguar might have been the first of the set.

The one on ebay above sold 2 weeks ago for $180, your mileage may vary. BUT, the knife has first model below the Jaguar and the etch is gold. Probably worth more than non "first model". I believe the seller may be one of our members. Another redbone sold for $202 a month ago. not a first model but with serial # 166. Another red bone sold for $189. Stag handle #166 sold for $255. Someone is breaking their set.

Here is a green bone that sold 1 month ago for $157. Another green sold for $176.

Do a search on ebay for completed listing under Collectibles. Serach phrase "Jaguar Knife". You will see all the knives I am referring to. Each handle type was only made one year in limited quantites on Special Factory Order by Shepard Hills for Case.
I have been looking on the internet for a year and first ones I have seen on ebay. Don't go overboard but I personally would consider them scarce for the reasons I mentioned. Remember, the prices realized were for mint condition knives. If your is beat up or sharpened, it lowers the value.

As Phil stated, alot of collectors commonly refer to this knife as a "Banana Trapper" in the slang sense. Just the nickname it got. Don't know much about newer Case knives so that may be a Marketing description for the knife now, don't know. Very similar, in my opinion, to the pre 1981' CASE 11-1/2 and Cheetah. The only true Cheetahs were the 71' Large and Small stamp and the 70' and 71' super rare prototypes. When you say CASE 11-1/2 frame, it may take a second or two to register for some but when you say CASE 1978' Cheetah for example, they know right away the frame in question. I gave in and just say Cheetah now as it is easier.

I personally try to stick to raw definition as to not further confuse myself. Just how I do it. Best I know, by definition, a CASE Trapper is a 2 bladed knife. 54, 07, 40 or 154 CASE frame.

I have two CASE TESTED 51 "One Blade Hobo" frames I just matched up to one of the Jaguars I have. Frame length and shape, blade, almost identical. I personally would consider it a modern day "One Blade Hobo" from the TESTED era 51 Hobo patterns. My 2 cents.
