I am not sure if we posted this Wilbert before, but I believe it is a Napanoch too. The pearl one may be an Empire made knife?

A second great example and the pearl is very nice as well. Even though "Wilbert" was a trade mark of "Sears" they seem quite rare.

WOW!
That Nap is a stunner!
That Wilbert is not far behind!

For some unknown reason I love knives with a single clip blade!
Those are both beauties! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::drool::

It’s 3 5/8s closed and the main blade is on two springs. This pattern was in Bernard Levine’s Knife World column a while back and I was able to buy the HTT magazine from him.

Beautiful example and love the graphics!!![/quote]
That would have to be one of my all time favorite knives.I just read the story in Knife world a few months ago in the what-iz-it column, and what a great story it was.It is a joy to have I am sure. Thanks for letting us see it.

That Napanoch and that Wilbert have what I consider to be the prettiest master blades ever put in a pocketknife.

Love those grind lines.

Thanks. Glad you all liked it. I've had it on my desk ever since I got it. Can't seem to put it away.

I have a friend that has a Wilbert saddlehorn that he thinks was made by Napanoch. They do seem hard to find.

I third that Charlie, I love those darn blades!!!! How about this really old 1725 French Fruit knife I just picked up. Levine's fourth has one on page 230. It's 5" closed. Got it in a batch of knives I bought because there was a Nagle and a Platts Andover in the group.

That is a nice one Mike. I never saw a fruit knife that big. I think that size would be more practical for cutting fruit, than one of those little ones.
Do have pics of the Nagle and Platts yet??
