Camillus thing????

A friend sent me a picture of this thing and asked if I knew what it was? I thought there was a discussion before about it but could not find it and can't remember what it was used for so any help would be apprecitaed. Thanks Mike

is it some kind of cutlers tool? or is it a horticultural grafting or budding knife? I can't really see any detail as far as the edge of the tool.... Of course I rarely know anything

It`s used to open the fuselage on jet airplanes.

They look like this and are called Dzus fasteners.

As was stated before it is called a Dzus key or tool. Quick release fasteners(1/4 turn open or close)are used on aircraft and race cars as well to speed up the removal of panels to allow servicing of the vehicle. They are also made by Cam-Loc and Air-Loc using a straight slot screwdriver to remove them rather than a special tool.I used to carry one all the time when I was in the Navy and working on aircraft. I had several of them but gave the last of them away to my cousin who had them on his hood side panels of his 32 Ford roadster.
