Tool and Die kit, for finishing/polishing metal(s). Look at the 3rd picture, what you can see around the camera flash glare.....

I thought it was a kit just for pocket knives and seemed very detailed for just that. Thank you for the information. The zoom feature on ebay doesn't always work as it should for me.

Top row the vials hold tubes of diamond-based polish of different 'grits'.
Bottom row the vials contain small metal handled rollers, like ink rollers. I honestly have no idea what/how those are used.....

I don't think that was by the J Russell Co that made Cutlery. There were several J Russell Companies in Western Mass.
