AG Russell

I picked this AG Russell up at a local gun show. My first AG Russell so I know very little about the knife. Seems like a very quality knife and it’s big at over 5 inches closed. Snaps hard open and shut. Nice stag. Per the stamp it is made in Germany 1991. If anyone can provide any other info about this knife, I look forward to your replies.

a.g. has had lines of cutlery produced in his name made in germany, japan, & more recently china. most of his product knife is of very decent quality.---HiPower

You hardly ever get a bargain from Russell but you can count on the item being of good quality. I had one of his China knives recently and if it hadn't been stamped 'China' I would have never known.

I'm not sure about the answer to your question. My suggestion would be that you call them and discuss. I have talked to them a time or two and they seem to be customer friendly on the phone.

I have the complete series of A.G.s annual Texas Ranger knives which, excepting the very first year, are made in China. The attention to quality, to F&F, is obvious. Don't know about any future collectability but each one so far is a rock solid user with a bit of dash.

Yes Sir QS, I would have to agree with you. The Swell center is a beast of its own proportions and yet very refined. A few years back I picked up a Monkey Wood of this style from IKC, Very sweet indeed. AG does a fine service with the QA. BH
