Made in USA question....

Picked this one up today at one of my favorite antique stores.It had some pitting on the blades and it looked as if some of the cosmolene had been left on it.Has not been sharpened and the blades are all highly polished in what appears to be a factory finish.
The only stamp on it is Made in USA on the tang;there was no blade etch that I could see.It looks a lot like the ones Camillus used to make for Sears marked High Carbon Made in USA.One of the scales has a small piece missing which I think I can repair.That scale also looks like it has shrunk but I believe it was not installed correctly in the first place which may have led to the crack.The can opener and punch have a strange offset that I don't recall seeing on these knives before.I know the purpose is to allow room for the blades to fold properly but this one looks weird.
It cleaned up pretty nicely and the price was fairly reasonable($20)so it may go into my daily rotation.On looking at it again the High Carbon part of the stamp may have been ground off and it may have been a second.Hopefully I can post the pics.

WOW!! Really like that knife K7K. Beautiful handles even with the chip. Camillus made for Sears & Roebuck.

Good condition for being such an old knife. I would have given twenty bucks for it and I'm a bit of a tightwad.

lifetime warranty you can turn your busted scout
kanife in for a brandam 'new' one !
Probly won't have same tang stamp tho.

That sure is a great find. I have one I am working on now. I have developed a liking for the scout/utility knives. Congrats K7K!
