Harrison bros

Does anybody know anything about this type of knife on one blade it says Harrison bros and howson i think and on the other it says cutlers to his majesty on the outside of the knife there is an inscription that says, Presented by Colonel&Alderman Sir Charles Wakefield Guildhall May24.1913

in my notes i have:
HARRISON BROTHERS & HOWSON -sheffield, engl.-manufacturer/wholesale 1847-1959
SIDE NOTE i also have the dates of business from another source as 1853-1919 ::shrug::
tang marks :crown (picture) .......and ALPHA

succeeded william sansom & co. 1847-bought charles ibbotson &co 1902-had offices in NY &SAN FRAN. AROUND 1890- SOLD to Viners in 1959

Thanks for the info evidently the sir charles wakefield was the founder of catrol motor oil among doing and being other things.

The people who collect Castrol Advertising will like it. As far as actual value they don't bring much. The engraving is the real value on that one.
I measure my collection by the ton.
Whoever dies with the most tools wins......Now accepting donations.
