Kutmaster work knife question

Post by almyjmoore »

I just got this Kutmaster at a flea market on Monday. The blade is marked " Kutmaster Utica.N.Y. U.S.A." The secondary blade looks like it might be for opening boxes. Any idea on its age or use? Thanks Al

It might work well for boxes too, but it's a capon blade or rooster nutter.

Thanks for the information guys. I wouldn't have thought there would have been enough demand for a castrating knife to make it profitable to manufacture. I castrated quite a few young pigs back in the 60's that we raised to sell but I used a single edged razor blade then poured in lysol. Any idea when Kutmaster produced this high tech miracle. Thanks, Al
