I've been looking to pick up a Case Hobo for a while now, and got this one in courtesy of Jerry zp4ja! I've been carrrying it and showing it off the last two days, really well built knife and I love the chestnut bone! The two pieces seperate easily but lock up tight, and the lack of a spoon means it's still pocket friendly enough that I can carry it comfortably! Thanks Jerry for setting me up with this one, I'm diggin' it! ::tu::

Mike -- I too have wanted a Hobo for years but it's one of those knives I've always been afraid would end up in Phil's "Ever been disappointed with a "had to have knife"?" thread.

First impression is - small. That's what's stuck in my noggin' right now. Medium snap on the clip blade....that's another thought.

I did look at some other 9208's on the bay and didn't see pins on them either.....

Good info,Mike. ::tu::

Scott...you are correct..I went on the bay and saw several with no pins. ::nod:: ....I don't buy many newer case knives and if I do they usually have some sort of natural scale material. ::shrug::
Looking forward to your review. ::tu::

I can see why you would Gino! But if I had anything as remotely cool as my Boys Knife it would be a tough choice!

Back to the RR in the above pic. Curious this one. The Clip and Wharncliffe blades are SHARP! Tiny bit of work with a steel and paper don't stand a chance.

The third blade however is tough to get to to do paper!

Reminds me of a Buck Trapper that has a wicked Clip and a not so wicked Spey.......

I think I remember seeing someplace that Winchester had the contract back when they were making knives and I'm pretty sure that later on, the Schrade/Ulster/Imperial consortium made the knives for Montgomery Wards.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Stancaiman, I like that Crawford knife, have never seen a locking mechanism like that before. How easily does the lock release, can it happen in use by putting too much pressure on the handle?
