Looks fine, but I need opinions
Check this one out.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/200870122311?ss ... 1438.l2649
There is nothing there to tell me that this knife isn't 100% genuine. There are only 2 things that make me ask for your opinions. 1.) This knife wasn't listed in the NKCA prototype auction on Voyles website. As far as I know, all prototypes the NKCA has sold off were only sold during that auction. 2.) The seller has a reputation for listing and selling knives quickly. Sometimes not accurately. Sometimes not authentic.

Don't know anything about that knife, but, I'm still of the opinion that Sportcolbs knows about as much about knives as I do
and he buys and sells collections and probably does consignments.

I`m sure Bruce didn`t have all the NKCA protos in that auction.Later the NKCA sold a bunch of knives to a large dealer to pay bills. This knife could have come from there.I don`t think someone would fake such a knife.

i am with mr, peanut. there is no way to verify the authenticity of that knife, but i also doubt that anyone would fake it as a nkca proto.

Yeah, I agree it wouldn't make sense to counterfeit a prototype knife that wasn't chosen as a year knife. I didn't know that other knives from the NKCA were sold off, so that probably explains it.

Re: Looks fine, but I need opinions
Chet, not your fault I was directing my post to Rookie. I started a thread that is now a "sticky' here in the counterfeit forum about if you are going to post an e-bay link then please post the pictures from the auction so years down the road anyone can see what we were talking about after the ebay link expires and the pictures are lost.
That is what I wanted to remind everyone of
If rookie cannot post the pictures I can do it, and if you need help Chet I can walk you through it

Sorry about that. If the pictures were normal, I know how to save them and then upload them into the post. But the Ebay photo gallary use Java, and I don't know how to get the photos off of the pages. If there is a special method to use, please let me know. Thanks.

Just click on the picture to maximize it and then right-click on the picture, click save picture as, give it a name and hit save.

Re: Looks fine, but I need opinions
i might be able to do that, i don't know. i have trouble just negotciating my way from site to site. i think i am in an early stage of dimentia. i know that i am dislexic and usually things i type and read get all messed up, i have to go thru everything a few times before i get i right. anyways, when someone does post just the picture of the knife in question i am always curious as to who the seller is and what his description is and how much he is getting and the time left and who are the bidders and etc.,etc. so then i have to go to the trouble of looking up that info. it is much easier to just post the link for everyone to click on. my photo taking and exchange in my computer is very limited. i envy people who have good skills and programs to do whatever they like to do..........i just do the simplest and most available way that i can. i am very sorry that i cannot follow the desired rules. please. someone with the capabilities like murph just demostrated would feel free to assist in showing just the pics.
again i apologize and thank you.
sorry dimitri, i don't want to come across as a nonconformist, not my intention.

Thanks Murphy, all this time on Ebay and I didn't know you could click on the picture to make it bigger. I thought you just moused over it and the popup window comes on. I feel kind of stupid.

Re: Looks fine, but I need opinions
That's not necessarily true for every Ebay auction. It depends on which photo option the seller chooses to use.

I saw that. You're right, every one has been over $120. I liked that red sunfish one also.
