Tested Stockman on Ebay

How does this look to you guys? Authentic or fake? If it is real, how much does the cleaning take away from the book value? Thanks.

The knife is nice to look at I don't know if it is OK or not, but the clip blade and the spay blade has both been sharpened to the point that the choil is gone. The knife is not near mint IMO. The size stated in the description has me somewhat confused 4 7/8". It looks like a 47 pattern knife that should be 3 7/8". Cleaned to mint is a oximoron again IMO. just my take.

this is the answer i got when i told him mint means as from the factory.
look at all his shiney knives.

Knife looks okay but has been cleaned hard and very well could have been taken apart. Cleaned to mint cracks me up

absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Nowhere near mint. Those handles have been buffed near flat, the nail nick in the master blade looks pretty heavily buffed too. The blades are polished way too much, they shouldn't be quite that shiny I think (especially the punch) , and the stamp just doesn't look right. It looks like its been enhanced, either by engraving or cold stamping.

I have got some used knives that need cleaning. (none of any collector value) How do you polish up the blades to look bright again?

if they aint in to baddershape you can hit them with 800 through a 2,000grit sandpaper then some never dull or something like that and a good slower handheld Dremmel with a little buffing wheel and put a respectable shine on the old an knife.

I just like to rub on um

think im addicted to them and Ebay at the moment..

i like Metal-glo i think its good stuff
