Help with a Case Stockman Knife

I have a wooden handled Case Stockman that was given to me by a relative about fifteen years ago. According to the person that gave it to me, the handle was made from salvaged flooring out of the original Case factory in PA. I have no reason to doubt this but have been unable to find any information about this knife. The knife has three blades with CASEXX then .SS then USA . I would like to find out any available info on this stockman. I have no plans to sell the knife but am curious what it's worth. I hope to pass it on to my son someday and would like to be sure that what I tell him about the knife is true.

Welcome to AAPK.

I don't know much about Case but the basic information on this one is easy thanks to your good clear pictures.

First of all, it's not a Peanut.

The 73087 is a pattern number and not a serial number.
7 = Wood handles which verifies the handles are most likely original to the knife.
3 = three blades
087 = small or medium stockman pattern

The tang stamp indicates it was made sometime from 1980-1989
The SS indicates stainless steel blades
The single dot in front of the SS indicates it was made in 1988

As far as the handles being made from the floor of the old Case factory, one of the Case guys will have to address that issue.

Edit: The previous post may have been a reference to James Parker's ownership of W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery at the time this knife was made. Whether the mention of the Parker name is indeed in that vein is pure speculation on my part.
