i have never seen one of these before. and he doesn't mention customized. is this authentic?

The blade may be.But it was not made win he says it was.
I don't think that pattern"72" was even made between 1940 an 65.They where made up to 1940 and thin again after 1965 and like you, I have never seen one like that.
