A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.

Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.

The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.

The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:

The first worm in alcohol.............Dead

The second worm in cigarette smoke.....Dead

Third worm in chocolate syrup...........Dead

Fourth worm in good clean soil.....Alive

So the Minister asked the congregation, "What did you learn from this demonstration?"

Maxine, who was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said:

"As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms".

That pretty much ended the service!

8)
A large woman, wearing a sleeveless sundress, walked into a Bar. She raised her right arm, revealing a huge, hairy armpit as she pointed to all the people sitting at the bar and asked, "What man here will buy a lady a drink?" The bar went silent as the patrons tried to ignore her. But down at the end of the bar, an owl-eyed drunk slammed his hand down on the counter and bellowed, "Give the ballerina a drink!" The bartender poured the drink and the woman chugged it down. She turned to the patrons and again pointed around at all of them, revealing the same hairy armpit, and asked, "What man here will buy a lady a drink?" Once again, the same little drunk slapped his money down on the bar and said, "Give the ballerina another drink!" The bartender approached the little drunk and said, "Tell me, it's your business if you want to buy the lady a drink, but why do you keep calling her a ballerina?" The drunk replied, "Any woman who can lift her leg that high has got to be a ballerina."

A fellow was driving down a country lane one fine afternoon and came upon a sign that read, "For Sale- Talking Dog". Out of curiosity he pulled up to the house and inquired about the dog. The owner brought the dog out and the guy asked the dog if he could really talk.
"Sure", replied the dog. "Well tell me about yourself", the man said. The dog began to talk telling about the time he was born and life in the litter. When they found out he could talk the government took him and made him a spy and he was able to listen in on high-level communications and do espionage work humans couldn't do. After that he came to the farm to live out his retirement.
"Wow", the man said, "that's incredible!" He turned to the owner and asked, "Why in the world would you want to sell this talking dog?"
The owner replied, "Because he's a liar. He never did ANY of that stuff!"

No problem TJ. We hillbillies are used to being the butt of jokes. Funny thing is we get hung with the stereotype and we certainly aren't the only state with the same issues that go along with Appalachia. I'm proud of my WV heritage. Some darn fine music and musicians have come from these here hills. Not to mention the fishing is outstanding!

In the spirit of political correctness, the term "Hillbilly" is should be replaced by "Appalachian American".

But me? I'm still just an old hillbilly. ::tu::
