Please Pray for Jaylin

Folks I come to you asking for your prayer support for Jaylin, a little eight year old boy from my church. He was involved in a horrible accident yesterday at our annual church picnic. He, along with a bunch of others were riding a farm wagon on a hayride as part of the activities provided at the picnic. He was sitting on the side of the farm wagon with his legs hanging over the side. As the wagon passed through a gate opening, the wagon got too close to the gate post and Jaylin's leg was caught between the wagon bed and the post, severly injuring his leg. Fortunately there was a paramedic, nurse, and doctor present to render aid until the ambulance personel arrived. A helecoptor ambulance was dispatched and flew him to the University of Kentucky hospital where he remains, in serious conditon at this time. His team of doctors were at last report working to save his leg but it's not for sure they will be able to do so.

Please pray for Jaylin, his family, and all those who have been so devistated by this tragedy. Pray for my church as well.

Just a little update for you on Jaylin. He's had a couple of rounds of surgery and thus far all has gone well. The doctors were able to find sufficient nerve and muscle tissue to rebuild/replace the damaged portion of his leg. They say that his prognosis is good and his condition continues to improve.

Thanks to each of you who have prayed for him. God does hear us.

I apologize for the long delay in posting an update but I wanted to share some good news, and here it is. Jaylin's grandpa lost a game of Horse (basketball shooting game for you non-sports folks) last weekend..............to Jaylin. He's up on crutches now and continuing with physical therapy. He still has a long way to go in his recovery but God has moved in a mighty way to bring healing to this boy.

In a related matter, the paramedic from my church who tended to Jaylin immediately after the accident was recently honored by his department for saving Jaylin's life. He deserves praise for his actions, but God is the one who put him there that day.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers, and I'll ask you to continue to keep Jaylin in your prayers as he travels the road to recovery.
