Camillus Three Line Stamp??

I just bought a knife on ebay, a Camillus four-blade with what I think is a stamp that I've not seen yet. Would you folks look at the stamp and see what you think? Is USA hidden under the bolster? Is the main blade stamp acutally a four-line? The knife and blades themselves are shot, bought the stamp.

Yep,thats a weird one .I cant find it so fair.I will keep looking because that is what I love to do.
This is a list of there known stamps but I cant find yours on there.
You can tell it is a very old knife.If I was to guise I would say around 1902 to 1918.

Hey KT, thanks for the info page. I have this listed down in the Camillus thread also. Orvet has some great, interesting information down there that would put this stamp sometime before 1933 as he has a knife with the same stamp that he can date to 1932, but this knife would be after 1916, which is an arched stamp. So, sometime between 1917 and 1932.

Thanks Rick. As far as I can tell from the pics and the description, the knife is totally worn out. I bought it only for the stamp. Here's a pic of the knife:

t.j., i've got several 3 line stamped camillus knives, i will try to look thru them tomorrow and see if i've got one like this, i don't think i do, but i will sure check.... ...........

I have always believed that that 3 line stamp predated the 4 line stamp, based on the appearance and construction of the knives that I have seen with it. The arched stamp of the same vintage was often used on the pen blade of a jack pattern, the arched stamp fit better on the smaller pen blade tang.

I received the knife today and it is indeed the three-line stamp as pictured. After cleaning the knife up a little it is not as bad as I thought and is actually a nice little knife (3 1/8" closed). The blades have seen heavy use and sharpening but the nail nicks still stand proud of the frame, so they can still be opened easily. Would this pattern be considered a Congress??
