the larger contego with 4 in. blade is 6 oz.while the assisted opening barrage has a 3.6 in. blade at 4.2 oz. contego--m4 alloy & the barrage is m390. both super steels that only have a small differance in edge abrasion endurance. the benchmades are so smooth i really do'nt see a necissity for assisted opening. both carry well in levis or heavy kakics but dress slacks would probably sag. both are super heavy duty folders with great construction.
