Case Collectors Club.

I am sure that several of you are members of the Case Collectors Club that entertain this sight. I called the last of Nov. or Dec. 1st or 2nd and gave them my information to join and the gent there said that I would get my stuff in a couple of weeks.

Well, the next tuesday I thought what the heck, I e-mailed and asked if I could get my member number so I could join their forum. They did, and they explained in my narrowed down words here, that they did not have time to mess with getting names entered for the CCC, that they had promotions, sales, and what not going on, but they did give me my CCC number.

Then I went to log on and it would not take it. I KINDLY e-mailed them back and asked for assistance. I was rudely advised that "As I said before," ...

You know, for the amount of money we, and I, have paid THEM for THEIR product, that you could get treated a little better than that.

Any way, some of you may even know the folks there.

Still can not log on. I guess I feel better now that I at least said all this.

Hopefully, you just ran into a single rude employee...? I used to be a member. I wasn't impressed, so I didn't ever get around to renewing my subscription. I've had pretty good luck with a few people from Case when i've contacted them about various things. Shirly Boser is one person in particular who is very helpfull. She is their historian. Some of the customer relations people have helped me out a couple times as well. I haven't had too many bad experiences, so hopefully it was just that one person you spoke with. Next time you get that attitude ask to be put through to his/her boss and see what happens...

I had trouble signing on also. This might help. My problem was with my zip code, I did not use the extra four digits at the end and it wouldn't let me in. When I added them I got right in.

I really don't have a name since it was not on the e-mail.

I also had tried the 4 digit extension on the zip, but that did not work.

Any way, sometimes I guess you have to look that maybe they had a bad day that day and it does not represent the rest of the people there.

At age 47 you become more patient with things, I really enjoy the information here on Case knives. Very informative. I also enjoy collecting Buck knives and meeting on their forum.

I also posted on the area here on comments that whomever is maintaning this sight is doing a good job.

Howdy George, I have been a member of C.C.C. for about three years now and I don't think that I'll renew. Not for the same reasons that you've expressed in your post. Aside from Shirley Boser I don't talk to anyone up there anymore. In my opinion you will learn a lot more from this club than the C.C.C. unless you only want to read all of the Hoopala about all of the wonderful knives that they are coming out with. Another club that I could mention is Case Classics Club which is in a world of its own. John Adams who founded the club and charges $10.00 yearly or $50.00 for a Lifetime Membership. The third club that I belong to is Elephant Toenails.com which is free. In summary, I see a lot more activity in this club than any of the rest of the clubs and I think the credit should go to Bryan because he is a hands-on kinda guy.

I just joined recently, and it took about 4 weeks to get my membership kit, I e-mailed after 2 weeks to get my number so I could join the forum and was told they were waiting on blank membership cards to come so they could print them. They gave me my number by e-mail and I got right in.

I'm frustrated about this topic at CCC, along with George. I had been contemplating joining that club but after seeing the post from George, and a few other comments I must confess I'm not happy with what I'm hearing and will NOT accept how George has been treated. He is a customer as far as I'm concerned and is NOT getting the service I'd want if I was a customer. Aside from conversations with Shirley Boser, the resident historian from case, I've not had any interaction from that group or representation of Case Collectors. I cannot say enough good about Shirley Boser at Case knives by the way. She is "available" and has answered any and all questions that I have had about case. I am currently reading a decent book about case knives as well. I assure you that what I see and talk about here is very informing as well as entertaining, not to mention the brains and collectors inputs are probably as good as it gets anywhere bar none. Well Done Bryan. Well Done members of AAPK! This forum and website rocks!!
