First Cup Diner!

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

my family is a gambling family. i suppose if you were to average out the amount of money my family has spent on lottos since it first began in the early 70's, they would have spent more than $30,000 apiece.
so i figure since i never buy any tickets. thats how much i am ahead. ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds::

and thats only on lotto tickets ::tu::

Mark, that's what I do when I spend $4 instead of $2.

Quite a few years ago, I hit 5 of 6 numbers in the Illinois Lotto. Got $7xx.00 out of it. I always thought I would be disappointed I missed the sixth number but that wasn't the case. I was quite happy with my winnings.

Not closed Scott.........just slow getting opened up after a few days of down time from work.

Sittin here sippin' my first cup of the day and wishing I had more days off.

Jerry, when I quit smoking about 8 1/2 years ago, I diverted my cigarette money into buying knives. I guess what they say is true, we often trade one addiction for another. That's not always a bad thing.

Or everyone but you and me are just sleepy heads this morning.

Good morning, Scott. Welcome to the last week of November 2012.

Oops. I see Phil was typing at the same time I was. Mornin' Phil. As for swapping addictions, I think you're right.

Jeez, I'm really slow on the draw this morning. Mornin' Monk.

good morning e1. first day of rifle buck here in pa. and the woods are full of armed hunters, probably over 700,000 today. i can bet you at least 15% are criminal minded people. since i live in the sticks, its always a risk when walking the dogs....
phil and jerry, i quit smoking 25 yrs ago, and i quit alcohol 23 yrs ago. thats how i was able to purchase my house and land, and then pay it off within three yrs...... i just couldn't get over all the spare money i had, especially since i was able to work steady without being drunk all the time.
but even though i still miss the booze, i won't allow myself to touch a drop, even in these tough times ::facepalm::

Breakfast in the diner, on to Camp Lejeune to visit a few barracks jobs. Blue I hope your father does ok.
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark
