Re: First Cup Diner!
Due to a bizarre schedule I am not usually able to drop in here at first cup time. But today is an exception. So Hi! to all.
Maybe it would be interesting to mention what is your favorite coffee or what your drinking today. Then again, maybe you did that long ago. But if not, I drink any instant, usually Nescafe. Today, something called Hillson. I drink it black with some deadly chemical sweetener.

Re: First Cup Diner!
Wakee, wakee. If I'm up, everybody should be up.
Black decaff. I'm hypersensitive to the caffeine. One cup of real coffee just ruins my day. I can talk faster than you can listen, lose my concentration and you would have to scrape me off the ceiling. Not pleasant at all.
Normally it's Door County 'Highlander Grogg' or 'Sinful Delight' made one cup at a time in one of those Keurig things.
It's an exciting day. Chet gets his POS package today.

Mornin' guys! I drink black decaf myself, ususally Folgers made in my Keurig. I know there are all kinds of exotic varieties out there and some of them are quite good. My wife used to scramble around trying to buy different ones so I finally told her to just buy Folgers, which is available at the local grocery store. Keep it simple, I always say.

Re: First Cup Diner!
I don't drink much coffee, Ray. A half-pound will last me a couple of months. The two foo-foo coffee's I mentioned are the only ones I really enjoy so as with my knives, I buy what I like. Nothing against the shelf brands. I just like these better.
Now my buddy drinks three 12 cup pots per day and can't understand why he's like a fly on a window. Love him like a brother but sometimes I call him dumb-*** to his face.

Re: First Cup Diner!
well this is my 2nd cup today. 1st cup was 3 hrs ago but then i found out the bed was more comfortable than staying up. also that painting job caused real havoc to my back. i don't do any meds, never have and i hope i never will. i am from the old school and would rather know my pain instead of blanketing it with meds and maybe doing more damage.
also my mom,,,rest her soul,,, had a major siezure from doctor prescribed med change.. took her 3 yrs as a veggie to finally find peace in dying.
so how is your mornings??
jerry, i got the respirator mask and hazmat suit and long tongs at ready for your package. i hope you feel really guilty when you get mine,,, cause your gonna love those knives.

Jeez, Chet. I've been feeling guilty ever since I handed the package to the lady at the postal station. I may spend the rest of my life trying to make this up to you.

Yabba dabba doo guys! Short week. Pats won but Gronk broke his arm
and will be out until the playoffs. Yes I am a big Patriots fan. Love football.
Played football with the guys in the neighborhood when I was a kid but they would not let me on the High School team. At 5'11" and fast as hell I would have made a great wide receiver (no jokes TJ)
So I did track and field hockey instead. They made us wear skirts as a field hockey uni. I'm still po'd.
Oh well enuf bitching for now, have a great day and a better eve.

Morning everyone (1203 now). Had my first cup at the gas station real early, stayed up in deer stand for five hours. Late breakfast now in Tarboro, going to buy gas and AA batteries and head back to the river stand for the rest of the day. Y'all have fun and behave! Scott, thinking about you, take care. OH

Well of course they made you wear skirts, it's hard as hell to see up a pair of tight fitting shorts.Bacon Lover wrote:Yabba dabba doo guys! Short week. Pats won but Gronk broke his armand will be out until the playoffs. Yes I am a big Patriots fan. Love football.

Colonel -- All that time off and you get paid too.
Puts me in the mind of the old joke about the older gentleman that got a new job and was always late for work by five or ten minutes. His boss decided to have a talk with him and says, "I know you're retired Navy. What did they say there when you were late to work." and the old gentleman says, "Good morning, Admiral."
