New Kutmaster???

Post by Colonel26 »

I had no idea until recently that Utica was still in business and making Kutmaster knives. Now I really like old Kutmasters. The stockman patterns made/make great using knives around the farm and garden. But I've been eyeballing the new ones, and boy they sure do look nice in the pictures.

They look to have nice bone, good carbon steel, made in the USA, and decent prices what's not to like? But I was wondering if any of y'all have any first hand experience with the new Kutmasters? Are they as good, better, worse than the old ones?

Any first hand experience would be appreciated!

Thanks

I requested this and got it from my daughter for Christmas a couple or three years ago. Good fit & finish. Well put together. Never used so I can't say anything about that. Nice knife. Even though I'm not thrilled by stockman's, I like this one. I think it may be the Turkish clip blade that does it for me.

Thank you gentlemen! I was hoping that was the case. I know those old ones sure had great metal in them and really held an edge well. Tough as nails too. It's good to hear that the new ones are still good as well.
