CUSTOM HANDLED CLASSICS
Thought I’d post a couple of pics of a few Whittlers, Sowbellies, a Moose and a Folding Hunter – all Case Classics with custom sectioned handles. (not factory handled) Workmanship is very good on most of them and consists of a wide variety of exotic materials - MOP, Elephant Ivory, Mastodon Ivory, Heart Abalone,Corals, Buffalo Horn, Sheep Horn and multi-colored bone – all done with nickle-silver spacers.. Left click on the Hunter picture and check out the outstanding workmanship… (Sorry about the bad display picture)

Those look pretty cool.
Provides an early morning guessing game. That sectioned hunter looks to be, from the left, Tiger Coral, Buffalo Horn, pearl, bone, pearl, then either bone or tiger coral again, (can't quite make it out), buffalo horn, and finally Ivory. Well, how'd I do?
Nice set, I like it, thanks for sharing.

Hukk – you did REALLY good!! (Better than I would have…) The 1st one is a bland MOP – very hard to tell from the picture - but the rest are right on…(the 3rd one is Alabaster Coral)..
These knives aren't rare or expensive - but they are fun and make for a colorful display.. The Moose with the Ivory & Sheep Horn scales (2nd from the bottom in the display pic) came from Jim - the rest are all privately mangled.. Gary

WOW! I surprised myself. The only reason I knew the alabaster was because I saw a Case Classic in solid Alabaster and it left an impression on me. (the material, I belive that the pattern was a whittler, but I don't remember, the alabaster really impressed me). I think they did not make many with solid corals. Many Classics I see have black buffing compound in the pores. Jeff (agteaher2) told me about it when he did a knife for me in Tiger Coral.
Great knives, keep them coming. Those are drop dead gorgeous!
