Nice one Dave!
Perry the jigging on that one is fantastic! Love the way the shield is slightly raised above the handle like that, very nice!

After work today I slipped this into my pocket. It's my daddy's old Eye Brand whittler, two eye blade etch, one on the tang.

Hey Colonel, that's a cool keepsake knife in that Eye Brand.
Hey Gino, funny how the UN-X-LD looks vintage already.
Thanks Gino and Mike for the comments. I have a serious fever for these older Jacks right now. They occupy most of my spare time! Gino, I have that same Jiggin on a Harness Jack in the Tidioute brand that I will never sell. Just looks old already.

Thanks Singing. I love those jacks too. For some reason those old jack knives and the whittlers have just bee speaking to me as of late.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Colonel,
Watch out, those jacks will make you start a whole new line of knives! This has been my carry for the last week. I picked up my last stockman, back to jacks for me as well. This one is a 1975 Case 6347. Its red bone. Depends on the light, it can be maghony looking to red to brown. I could look it at it a long time. 75 was the year I was born. I decided it'd be neat to have a piece like that to give my son someday. She's sharp, good snap, good blade travel. Some gaps, but overall I'm happy with it.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Today's choice is like yesterday's choice.

Every Day Carry Pairing by Pinnah, on Flickr
Took the dog out to the woods this morning. The puddle pond out back is still bone dry so I spent some time cutting back some growth in hopes it will fill and we get enough cold to skate on it. The Opinel dispatched about 10 saplings that were thumb thick with no problem. It's the toughest dang knife I've ever owned.
The Micra is the best thing I've put in my pocket in years. The secret is to free it from the key chain and keep it in the other pocket. Get's used constantly. Can't imagine not having it with me now.

Nice one Tom!
Dave, I dig the way that O looks once you re-did the handle. Maybe it will give them some ideas?

It seems that the Lizard likes it too!

Got it from Trevor yesterday.
Already cut open a plastic bottle and the plastic that wiper blades came in.

TAB I used to be strictly a Solingen man, as you well know. But then I packed my old 10 dot 6347 and it was love all over again. It's just about my favorite pattern.
Fellers, nice knives all. But Dave that harness jack is outstanding. I love that pattern. It brings back memories of harness, mules, saddles, and the gained horses that I grew up with. Outstanding!
