Trying to verify the maker of this knife. Is it a Joseph Rodgers and Sons? Thanks

Is the tang stamp J P,J R,T P or T R. When I first went to school in Australia we wrote T the same as the first letter.It could be British . The tang look hand engraved.I hope someone can answer you.I looked in Blades Guides to knives but I was not sure of tang stamp.Grant

That isn't Joseph Rodgers. It's continental. Probably north west of France.
