Beautiful Knife but Rehandled??

I know very little about Riggers knives but I'd have to say this one has been rehandled. Ever see one in the wild with Stag handles?

I think this is a new knife, which manufactured with parts of Camillus.
This seller is a knifemaker and previously worked in Camillus.

Apparently he likes Schrade too. I gotta say, he does a fine, fine job.

Edit: He claims all three knives were purchased at the Camillus auction and were in the Camillus custom shop. Even the Schrade?

"Camillus auction" and "custom shop" it's his favorite phrases. I see his lots for about three years and I see these words regularly .
He makes a very nice knives, but sometimes among them there knives mutants. For example, the model #11 (American Wildlife Series) with a medallion from the model #10 and Trapper #717Y (Yello-Jaket Series) with one blade.
By the way, all his knives from American Wildlife, Yello-Jaket, CamilluS ClassiC CartridgE and Remington Bullet series were not etched on the blade.

Hello, I would like to set the record strait. My name is Wallace Rockwell Jr. (cbjprock, on e-bay) I am an ex-Camillus employee of 34 years. I ran the model shop and Custom shop. I also did some design and made all samples and prototypes. I bought many items at both auctions including the entire contents of my office. I continue to buy collections and items from persons who worked at the cutlery, and people who bought at the auctions. I am always looking for parts and broken items. Most all of my items are either knives from my office or from the many parts I acquired over the years. All are from the Camillus factory, all either finished by me or made from these parts. I am genuinely trying to keep a little of the original craftsmanship alive. (and also make an honest living). I grew up in the Camillus Village. Walk by the factory every day to elementary school around the corner. I started working there at 19 years old and was there the day the paddle lock went on the employee entrance. My parents and some siblings still reside in the Village. I live about 30 min. away. I will continue to keep the original items coming. It gets harder as the years pass to do so as finding collections and parts become harder and more expensive. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks Wallace

Wallace -- Welcome to AAPK. I hope you stick around. There are several Camillus fans here (including me) and it would be great to have our own in-house "expert".

Thanks for clearing up the question of the genealogy related to those knives. I for one really appreciate it. I gotta tell you. You do some beautiful work. That stag handled Rigger's Knife is just killer and I'm pleased to see you got a great price for it. The only thing I'm sorry about is it went for more than I could afford.

Do you do work for anyone besides yourself. We have a few knife mechanics around here and we manage to keep them as busy as they want to be. We could always use another, especially one with your skills.

Tom Williams referred me to you a couple years ago. Tom has mentioned you often in our conversations and has spoken highly of your work. A couple years ago I did some trading with you for some Camillus blanks, which you customize for Turkey Knives. You sent me a couple pin spinners and an assortment of pins from the Camillus factory.

I hope you will join in our discussion of Camillus knives here. We love to have input from folks who worked in the factory.

This Schrade 886UH is another Camillus made Schrade. There is also an 898UH with the same "Camillus swedge" and single pin construction. It has often been discussed these Schrades with the odd stamp may have been made by Camillus. I've long wondered who they were made for, and why they have the S.C.C. stamp instead of SCHRADE+
