Mornin' Ya'll
Welcome to Monday. Hope the weekend was great for all! Spent some mucho quality family time myself. Just me and the wife out to eat Friday evening, son's b-day on Saturday (12 y/o tomorrow!) and then spent the day at a fantastic car show on Sunday. Even scored a CaseXX peanut at the swap-meet
And now back to the grind....
Have a great week everybody

Re: First Cup Diner!
sitting here with my coffee on my 60th b-day. in a 1/2 hr i have to head down the mountain to start my first day at work. a modular home plant. i worked there 32 yrs ago, but things being so bad for us lately, i,m forced to work there again. i only hope my bad back can withstand the pressure. they do a lot of mandatory overtime
its trying times for a lot of us, some worse than others. we can only hope for better times. and i don't mean that with politics in mind.
i for one will be very happy when this presidential election bs is behind us. no matter who gets the job.
i will have an update for tomorrows 1st coffee...have a nice day ya'll..........chet

Good morning folks. Hope all are doing well. This time change has me out of wack for now...getting up earlier than normal because my body clock has not reset. Anyone else have that problem ?

Re: First Cup Diner!
good morning everyone. well the job and my back didn't agree with each other yesterday. i had to call it quits before it even began.
as dirty harry has said before, " a mans got to know his limitations". i could do that job for maybe 8 hrs. but not 10, and certainly not 5 and 6 days in a row.
back to the drawing board to find work that an old back like mine can endure. but for now, i think i will just enjoy this coffee and the company of my aussies.

Re: First Cup Diner!
Welcome all to a new day. 60% chance of rain here today and I have to get in the shower so I can be out the door in 45 minutes. I have an appointment in Madison at the VA at 0845. They're going to do a Sonogram to see when the baby's due.
Actually the Doc said all guys over 55 should have one on their stomach to check for aneurysms. He told me that's what John Ritter of Threes Company died of. I didn't believe him so I looked it up. Sure enough, he was right so I agreed to the test.
Sucks about the job Chet, but then it sounded like the job sucked so it all evens out. When one door closes, another opens.
VOTE!!

I'm thinking this might just be a glorious day! Hopefully by this time tomorrow we'll be headed in a better direction than the costly detour we've taken.
I'd encourage each of you to pause today to think about what a blessing it is to be able to cast your vote and have a voice in your future. Then take a moment to thank a veteran for preserving that right for you. I'm going to do just that right now. Thank you to each and every one who has served to keep us free.
