Old Sheffield contract knives??

Old Sheffield contract knives??
I have aquirred these over the years. I think they might be some type of military contract knives from England. The only legible stamp is Herbert Robinson Sheffield. They measure from 4-4 1/8 inches Can anyone identify?

They are commonly called "Gift Tin" knives. One of the English royal princesses sent gift tins to the troops during WWI and these knives are believed by meant to be in the tins. There is some dispute over this and unfortunately there isn't anyone left to ask now. I can't think of any other reason almost every knife company in Sheffield made the exact same knife to the same military specification without any military stampings on it. There are no other knives that fit this odd set of parameters.
