That's a nice line up Gino... ::tu:: ...the blade on the bottom knife remind's me of the Marbles Woodcraft pattern.

:? Hi gringo, there are no tang stamps and the scales look like they were leather at one time, now just leather residue left on steel which looks like it was "jigged " for lack of a better term ::shrug::Possibly to give the leather better adhesion?

That Craftsman is a 1950s Schrade Walden. The bear head (not to be confused with bare-head) was a company joke on the president and owner, Albert Baer. I see bare-head jacks often listed as "bear head." haha.

Bought this last month from Knife Art. Made in Arkansas of D2 steel with black micarta handles. I believe it was made in the Dozier shop.

This knife was made by Michael O'Machearly in memory of his son who, along with others, died in a Chinook crash in the early days of Afganistan.

Thanks Jerry! I still buy an occasional knife and have been leaning towards tacticals and fixed blades. Once you get knife fever in your blood you can never stop being drawn to knives. ::ds::

This one is for my old friend JerryD. He's always liked and appreciated this Canal Street pattern. Though it is a little unusual and quirky, it is one big hunk of quality stainless steel. Canal Street "Carry the Football".

I don't recall expressing admiration for that "knife" but I'm glad you posted it T.J. Your hand puts it into perspective. You must have had a momentary loss in sanity when you bought it but it sure is... uh... different.

There are some absolutely beautiful knives being posted here!!!! Pumas and Canal Streets and Customs.....Oh My! ::tu:: I have an order on it's way and one of the knives is a fixed blade I've been wanting. I think you guys posting here will appreciate it, I'll post pics when it arrives. The other knife I ordered (more in character for me) will be showing up on the canoe thread. Keep up the show gentlemen, I'm enjoying the hell out of it! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

MB:That is a beautiful Puma Bowie! The sheath looks to be correct for it as far as I can tell. The early Puma sheaths all had that squared-off shape to them. That piece of rawhide to hold the blade in can be a PITA to use but really works. The blackening where the guard rubs on the sheath is typical(virtually all of mine have it)and shouldn't really be a distraction.
Last one I saw for sale was a commemorative model and I passed on it because the guy wanted $450 for it and that was 20 years ago.

One of these days that Canal Street football knife will be a rare and highly sought after item because of its unique design and limited availability and boy are you guys gonna have egg on your faces. ::sotb::
