Man, what a bunch of early risers - good morning gents! Off to Bojangles for the coffee (and biscuit) this morning, preacher called and said he wanted to talk about something (construction issues at our old church building no doubt) - meeting him at 0730. Then it is on to Fayetteville/Fort Bragg for the day. OH

Ray must be sleeping in this morning. I can't believe I'm posting before he does.
Good morning one and all. Cold and wet here in the Bluegrass.
This cold weather ought to get the deer herd in the mood for some romance. Modern gun season is only about 10 days off now.

  You might want to consider red beans & rice and black beans & rice for some variety. Tastes better and they're cheaper, plus they go better with corn bread. I can eat cold pinto beans right out of the pot.

Here it is Thursday morning and I don't have a Thursday song for you. I looked and looked but Thursday must be the black sheep of the weekdays. I did find an R-rated movie on YouTube called "Thursday". It's pretty good but very violent and for other reasons, I didn't think it appropriate to post.

The start of a new month. Daylight Savings Time goes back in the closet this Sunday morning. Winter approaches closer and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Heating bills go up, outdoor activities go down and the Snowbirds head for warmer climates. For those who do that sort of thing, it's almost time to think about putting up Christmas decorations.

Good morning all. I hope everyone is well this morning, especially those in the path of the devastation brought on by Hurricane Sandy.

Even this far out in the Midwest, we're effected by Sandy. Breaking waves on the Chicago shore of Lake Michigan were reported to be 20 feet high. I don't think I've ever heard of that before. It even effected me, way out here in Rockford, Illinois. I have a knife stranded in Flushing New York. Bought it off eBay Sunday night and the seller had just enough time to get it in the postal system before Sandy hit. Tracking says it got as far as Flushing before the East Coast shut down. Maybe it won't come at all. ::shrug::

Mornin' Jerry. You seem in a pensive mood this morning. I was trying to think of a Thursday song but I come up blank. There is a good Friday song by George Jones but I have no clue as to how to do it, hint, hint!
I have to go to the optomitrist this morning so have to get moving. Well, before too long anyways.
My best to all the early and late diners out there! ::tu:: ::tu::

Good morning all. I think it's rather sad that poor ole Thursday has no song to call it's own. I think that George Jones song Ray referred to is "Finally Friday".

Morning Jerry, Ray, and Phil (and to those who come in later!) Its November - the hunting can get serious now - one of my best hunting buddies just came back from a Kuwait-Iraq-Afghanistan deployment this past weekend - we are hunting on Saturday morning - really looking forward to having him back, sure missed him for the last year and a half. Count your blessings boys; we are still standing after four years of failed socialist policy and I think we can throw the bums out on Tuesday!! Man, I'm feeling good - hoisting my cup to you guys! Mornin' fellas. First time postin' in here. been up since 5am as usual ::tu::

HEY OH

You've probably heard of this place in hope mills but if not, it is hands down the best restaurant in greater Fayetteville,NC. Just thought i'd make sure you knew about it. Anytime i'm up (actually down hill from here) there I eat there more than once during my stay. They are open all day b'fast, lunch and dinner ::tu:: ::tu::

http://www.yelp.com/biz/fred-chasons-gr ... hope-mills

The place (formerly known as Chason's and at a different location) has been around at least 40 years that I know of but probably closer to 60 or so years. Anyone else traveling I-95 through NC should give it a try ::nod::

Good morning all.
I actually had a cup of coffee today!
I drove our daughter to work and stopped at McDonald's for a cup of coffee.
Not great coffee, but about the only place at 5 AM.

Y'all have a great day, and don't forget to vote.

Since you don't look it and they don't just give it to you unless you ask, you need to get the following tattooed on your forehead.
