kutmaster easy open

Post by chetr1200c »

upon looking at the pics of this very nice looking easy open. i have discovered, much to the contradiction of the seller, that the bone scales are in fact very chipped. am i right, or am i seeing things that isn't there? http://www.ebay.com/itm/110964280338?ss ... 1423.l2649

It's because you didn't put a space between the ? mark and the link. Here you go. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110964280338?ss ... 1423.l2649

Hey Chet! Well, I just checked it out....and keeping in mind that I am no expert...it does appear that there are two fine cracks rising up in a V pattern from above the pin..in the pic with the bail facing left. That is how it appears to me anyways. Beautiful knife though!

The camera angle was careful to avoid it, but I believe I see cracks on both sides. JMHO.

I think I'm seeing what Mike is seeing. Plus a chip on the pile side near the lower bolster (bail).

Give the picture the old two click (I increased the size of the picture to 200%) and tell me if I'm just seeing things because the question was asked. I'd sure like to take a look with my 45x and the knife in hand.

Yes Jerry, what you have pointed out there is the same thing I was seeing...barely perceptable, but it sure looks like some fine spiderwebbing to me. Unless it's just scratches, but they would have to be some pretty symetrical scratches...

thats the big crack that i am referring to. i emailed the seller a few days ago questioning it, and i haven't recieved an answer yet.
either it is so obvious, or i am seeing something from nothing.
