Well it's 3:00 AM and I'm up drinking my first Coke of the day. Darn legs are killing me. Almost never fell asleep then when it seemed like I'd been asleep for 20 minutes the legs started hurting so bad I had to get up. I guess I deserve it. An old man can't keep pace with 25 and 30 year old young men. There were my sons and 3 or 4 of their friends with their pick up trucks that wanted to go cut firewood. I wanted to go to make sure no one got hurt but I jumped in there with them pulling and lifting those big chunks of wood and now I'm setting here with my legs throbbing like my heart beats. I think next time I'll do more watching and less getting involved. I think those young men telling me to go set down and take a break was their way of saying I was just in their way. I did feel useful when their chainsaws got dull and they didn't know how to sharpen them so I sharpened them. One of the young men told me that he always just goes and buys a new chain for his saw when it gets dull. Thats a waste of money. I brought 6 or 7 of his chains home so I can sharpen them for him. I'll get right on that as soon as I'm able to walk again. That dam cat doing that Ninja move on me and flipping me down the steps didn't help my legs none either. That reminds me, I still owe that cat. Think I'll take it with me to get firewood next time. That pumpkin headed attempted murderer cat needs some outside time. ::nod:: ::paranoid:: ::super_happy::
You fellas have a good morning and enjoy your first cup. ::tu::

Morning guys - sitting here sipping my first cup now. Aimus, hope you get feeling better soon - I feel much better than I expected to - spent the afternoon after church up on a ladder, repainting my shed. I was more sore last night than I am this morning. Got three more sides of the shed to get done sometime in the next two weeks. OH

Good morning folks. Aimus I too hope you are feeling better soon. Ray, take it from a Kentucky fan who is used to watching lousy football teams, it never gets any more enjoyable. It's Monday all over again so I guess I'd better start preparing for another workday. Have a good one everybody!

Scott. Ray. It's supposed to be a beautiful day in The Great Midwest. My buddy is coming over this morning and we're going to replace the window regulator on his van. Some fun, eh kid?

Mornin' guys.
I took the daughter to work at 5 AM.
Ate breakfast & am going back to bed for a nap before I have to hit the road to drive to Portland for a VA doctor appointment.
I have to stop by the hospital & say "hi" to my wife before I leave.

When I get back I have to go to the hospital to help my wife begin her physical therapy on her new knee. She gets to come home tomorrow.
It is gonna be a busy few days until I get her back home to recover.
She may come home Wednesday evening or Thursday.

Y'all have a good one! ::tu::

Morning guys......just dropped off the wife at the airport and I will be 'off-leash' for the next 3 weeks.
She's on her way to England, Ireland and Scotland with her Mom......they rented a car and are gonna freestyle
it with no hard itinerary and no reservations made. Sounds like fun to me but I got the dog-sitting job... ::facepalm:: .

Glad to hear your wife is doing well Dale and hope she's home to you soon. ::nod::

Morning guys - got my coffee right by me now - good sipping on a cool fall morning. Jerry, I went hunting yesterday, shot a big doe, took the next couple of hours to clean, etc. Spent the afternoon working on my shed/workshop - cleaning the pine needles and resultant growth from the roof, trimming the tree limbs that are rubbing the shingles, painting another side (I paint one side per day, with a few days in between). All that said - I slept in this morning. I was going to hunt this morning too, but decided to wait until Friday when I have a buddy to go with - dragging, loading, hoisting and cleaning that doe by myself was work! Bruce

Morning gents, nothing like a good nights sleep - then getting up and starting the day with a cup of coffee. Going to pick up my 83 year old cousin later (he is a retired Brigadier General) and we are heading to an ARNG retiree's luncheon up near Raleigh - going to be an enjoyable day. Tomorrow morning it is back to the hunting grounds with a buddy from work - not a bad way to wrap up the week. OH

Ps Looks like it's you and me Ray - the regular early birds must still be on the roost!

I was up at 0430 but I have a routine before I hit AAPK which includes hitting the head, going through the email that has accumulated overnight, etc.

Good morning all you early risers. Sounds like you both have busy days in store for you. Here's wishing everyone a happy and prosperous day.
